Mabel Marie, meet Grandpa

I have always believed that pictures have the ability to transport us, to make us feel, and to change us.  I hope these pictures do justice to the life changing event I was honored to capture today.  My cousin, Sarah is one of the strongest, most beautiful new moms I have ever met.  Today I photographed the introduction of her brand new (less than 24 hours old!) daughter Mabel to her father, Mabel's Grandfather and my Uncle Chuck.  There were tears, there were smiles, and there was relief.  But most importantly there was the introduction of two family members who have always been destined to meet.  Mabel Marie Hamann, meet your courageous Grandfather Charles Conrad Karlan.
