Charlie and I had a great time at Wash Park this morning. Pictures were taken, sticks were eaten, and geese were chased! Is it just me, or does he look like a toddler?

Stats and Travels
We just got back from Charlie's 9 month wellness appointment.
Height: 29 1/4 inches (75th percentile)
Weight: 19.5 lbs (28th percentile)
Words: "dada" and "baba"
Teeth: two on the bottom and four on top
March was a very busy month for us! Charlie and I traveled to Kansas City for Laura's bridal shower. It was Charlie's first time away from Rick. I don't think Rick liked it very much! We had fun visiting with family and celebrating with Laura, her family and friends. The weekend was so busy and quick, that I dropped the ball on taking pictures. I was able to snap a couple of my dad and Charlie playing in my grandma's front yard. Charlie and Grandpa got a lot of quality time together. They bonded over making funny noises with their mouths. They were two peas in a pod:-)
My dad got a first hand reminder on how to prioritize daily routines with a 9 month old. Without revealing too much, all I will say is ALWAYS get dressed after you take a shower no matter how loud the baby is crying. ALWAYS.
The following weekend we headed down to Florida to spend time with Rick's family. The timing was a bit rough. Charlie was teething (a total of four teeth came that week) and he also figured out how to sleep on his stomach, but woke up confused and screaming every night. That combined with the jet lag, lack of routine sleep, his unwillingness to go to someone else if I was in plain sight, and his first experiences with sand and open bodies of water did not equate to a very relaxing vacation for his parents! By the end of the week Charlie warmed up to the idea of both sand and water, although I don't think he has big plans for deep sea diving in the near future. We did have a great time hanging out with Rick's parents, his sister Maddy, and Maddy's boyfriend Kyle. We enjoyed delicious food and beautiful days by the pool and ocean. And now I'm ready for a nap.
